Batch 4 ThunderWorm Wheat


My first All-Grain non-BIAB.  
As adapted from ThunderWorm.  Went into the fermenter looking quite greyish. I'm suspecting I drained the mash tun too quickly and the grain bed did not settle well enough. Added 9oz of DME and used an aggressive boil to hit the 1.050 OG.


Boil Volume 11.00 gallons
Boil Time 60 minutes
Batch Size 9.00 gallons
OG 1.050

Fermentables
11 lb 2-row malt Rahr
9 lb Wheat malt Weyermann
1 lb Munich malt Weyermann

9 oz DME to hit OG
1 lb rice hulls

Hops
18g US Magnum FWH
16g Centennial 10 min

10g US Magnum 0 min
40g Centennial 0 min

Yeast
2000ml slurry Wyeast 2565 Kolsh

Mashed at 148 degrees and fermenting at 60 degrees


Aggressive Boil
